Corner Toilet - Great for Small Bathrooms
75A corner toilet is a great way to gain some extra space in your bathroom. Like a wall hung toilet, they take up a little less space than a normal toilet, but more importantly these toilets can be placed in the corner in what would normally be dead or unused space. The installation of such a toilet is a bit easier than installing a wall toilet because you don't have to open the wall, and install a frame, nor do you have to fuss around with the separate tank; everything on a corner toilet comes as one single unit. There really is little difference between the design of these toilets and a standard toilet, except for the obvious factor - the corner-shaped bowl that allows it to be situated out in places normal toilets wouldn't be able to fit.
This specially designed tank is what makes corner toilets distinctly different, though the functionality remains largely the same.
The Corner Toilet Tank
The tank is really what makes this toilet special. It's designed to fit square into a corner, much like a corner desk would. While it has a lower profile than a standard toilet, you can find them in the same tank capacity as you will find in normal toilets.
If you're looking for a toilet by a company that sets industry standard, then you'll be looking to get an American Standard corner toilet. American Standard was founded in 1872, and has been making incredibly reliable and solid plumbing fixtures since then. You have probably also heard of a company called Eljer. They're also a prominent company in the making, selling, and distribution of bathroom and other plumbing fixtures. In 2008 these two giants actually merged together with another company, Crane, to make American Standard Brands. Products continue to be sold under all three names, but now you know they are all essentially sold by the same company.
If you're looking for a toilet to fit into a small bathroom, or a half bathroom then you can either go with the wall hung toilet or a corner toilet. The wall hung toilet is a little more difficult to install, but has the added convenience of being easier to clean around. The corner toilet is just as easy to install as a standard toilet though, and doesn't require you to tear down and rebuild a wall in your bathroom. They are both great space saving options though, and your choice really just depends on how much work you are willing and capable of doing, and which style you prefer.
