An anti snore pillow is a type of orthopedic pillow specifically designed to reduce or eliminate snoring. Similar to a neck support pillow, or cervical pillow, it helps align your body appropriately so you get the best sleep. They are made to essentially force you sleep on your side, which is the best position for reducing snoring.

Snoring is caused by obstructions in the airways, and sometimes this obstruction is merely a matter or properly aligning the air passages to be as open as possible. This is another function of an anti snore pillow, as they provide head and neck support to align the airways in the best way possible. You can find a wide selection of anti snore pillows on Amazon.com.

Trying to find the best anti snore pillow is a matter of trial and error, though you might want to consult with a physician to see what he recommends.

SONA Anti Snore Pillow

The SONA anti-snore pillow is FDA certified because they've been able to clinically show that their pillow is responsible for reducing or eliminating snoring. It has a unique shape amongst these, as it provides a space underneath the pillow so you can stretch your arm upwards without decreasing comfort.

Brookstone Anti Snore Pillow

A big name in luxury products, the Brookstone anti snore pillow lives up to that name. Unlike most anti snoring pillows, this one allows you to sleep on either your back or your side. It is designed to keep your chin up and out while you're sleeping on your back which will keep the airways open, and your nights free of snoring.

Contour Anti Snore Pillow

The Contour anti snore pillow is not quite as outrageous in design as the SONA.  It is a supportive inflatable pillow that allows you to adjust the amount of support it provides.  A simple ridge along the middle of the pillow encourages side sleeping.

Smart Anti Snore Pillow From Japan

This is clearly not proper sleeping position. He's probably snoring.

Finding the Best Anti Snore Pillow

As I said above, finding the right anti snore pillow for you might end up being a matter of trial and error.  It's a process of finding the right sleeping position, including the angle of your neck and head, and the amount of support needed.  Once again, consulting a physician or a sleep specialist will reduce the amount of effort required because they will be able to help you determine the cause of your snoring, and provide instructions for the best course of action including finding the best anti snore pillow for your situation.

The SONA pillow is designed for both back, and side sleepers, so you should give that one a try.

Dude sleeping in the chair is funny. Can't wait to get old (not). Kind of off topic, but might be something you could create another hub about: They're hard to find, but there are similarly constructed airplane-sleeping pillows that allow you to lean forward and conk out while sitting. They support your entire body, for those who have problems sleeping in planes.

Hm, interesting idea. I've never heard of those before. Looks like I have some research to do.
